Physical Education Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor Degree.
• Arizona Elementary or Secondary Teacher certification with Physical Education K-12 endorsement (required).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the school and district administrators overseeing the physical education program.
• Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and/or self-selected professional growth activities.
• Create a positive environment for learning through effective classroom management and sound teaching techniques.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and personalize instruction whenever possible.
• Maintain accurate grades and records for compliance with district federal and state guidelines.
• Communicate with parents through conference and other means to discuss pupil progress and interpret the district physical education program.
• Maintain a learning environment that enables students to learn skills and safely participate in activities.
• Actively participate in meaningful role modeling and lesson activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
