Physical Education Teacher

Duties:

• Plan, develop, and organize long-range lesson plans and daily class work to ensure in-depth learning.
• Select, adapt, or modify teaching methods or materials that experience indicates will be most effective in teaching the assigned grade level(s) and subject matter.
• Support, counsel, and motivate students to meet or exceed grade-level standards.
• Adhere to and, when applicable, implements safety and security procedures; contribute to creating a school climate conducive to learning, achievement, and citizenship.

Requirements:

• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
• Direct deposit of pay is required.
• Two year trial period may be required.
• Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
• This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
