Physical Education Teacher & Coach

Responsibilities:

• Teach physical education to students in K-8 grade.
• Provide coaching in multiple sports in up to three sport seasons.
• Model and guide students in Christ-like values and character development.
• Employ current pedagogies and deliver innovative curriculum.
• Embrace lifelong learning and growth mindset for adults and students alike.
• Participate collaboratively in departmental and all-school teams.
• Display cultural competence in teaching and teamwork.
• Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, initiative, and self-reflection.
• Motivate and engage students.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of background checks and verification.
• A vibrant Christian faith and a desire to work in a Christian environment.
• A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 24 hours in physical education.
• Teaching certification for physical education.
• At least two years’ full-time teaching and/or coaching experience preferred.
