Physical Education Teacher (Elementary Level)

Responsibilities & Skills:

• Be responsible for teaching Physical Education classes;
• Have a strong background and/or experience in designing engaging lessons that enhance collaborative learning and critical thinking skills;
• Be expected to participate fully in all typical obligations of an elementary school teacher - including day-to-day instructional and supervisory duties;
• Be expected to serve as a role model for the students, staff, and the community with regard to setting;
  high expectations for learners and supporting them in reaching their goals;
• Have a strong background and knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice, including the use of technology; intervention strategies and strategies to support a diversity of student learning needs.

Qualifications:

• New York State Certification in Physical Education.
• Experience as a Physical Education Teacher preferred.
• Knowledge of NYS Physical Education learning standards (2020).
