Description
The Physical Education, Health, and Wellness Department (PEHW) is responsible for the Physical, Health, and Wellness education of students in grades K-11. The responsibility of a Physical Education teacher is to foster an environment that contributes to the overall wellness of each student.
Responsibilities:

Instruct students in physical education at the Historic Campus (grades 3-11).

Interact and collaborate with faculty members, administration, and parents.

Teachers are responsible for developing a curriculum that is focused on the physical and emotional well being of each student.

Maintain up-to-date teaching techniques to provide students with a quality educational experience.

Build relationships with students, families, other faculty and staff to communicate about student progress and to foster an inclusive culture.
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree in Education, or related field required.

K-12 PE certification preferred.

Master's degree preferred.
-
Coursework or degree that reflects multicultural content preferred.
