Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a thorough evaluation of incoming patients to curate and document a recommended treatment plan based on each patient’s individual needs, consulting with program director and/or referring providers as needed.
- Provide exceptional, ongoing care to patients, assisting with all phases of physical therapy treatments and techniques.
- Discuss treatments with patients, recording their conditions and responses to therapy in their medical record after each visit.
- Complete daily patient care notes, progress notes, discharge notes, and other required forms as requested by referring providers, rehabilitation nurses, or insurance companies.
- Collaborate with both scheduling and authorizations teams to help ensure fluid treatment progression.
- Operate and apply knowledge of standard physical therapy equipment.
- Maintain friendly, cordial relations with all patients, vendors, and colleagues.
- Comply with state and Company standards of operations.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years with high medical complexity patient populations.
- Certification in dry needling is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of interventional pain management procedures is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills.
- Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor.
- Proficient in the use of a PC; in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
