Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Evaluates physical and functional status, as well as cognitive, psychological, and perceptual ability to determine the patient’s capabilities to function (safely).
- Documents all evaluations, treatment, and coordination of care contacts via appropriate facility policies.
- Demonstrates an ability to treat a wide range of diagnoses and be knowledgeable in current therapy treatments, goals, and contraindications for treatment.
- Provides education and counseling to patient/family regarding treatments and goals, potential safety risks and/or other issues within scope of practice.
- Independently manages own case load to maximize effectiveness of overall care plan.
- Complies with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and requirements, as well as facility/agency specific policies and procedures.
- Supports special projects and other designated activities as assigned in support of TAI’s mission and core values.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Physical Therapy from an institution accredited by Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
- Current State Physical Therapist License.
- Current CPR certification.
