Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough evaluations of patients' medical histories and physical conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment programs tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, exercises, and modalities to improve mobility, strength, flexibility, and function.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and techniques for managing pain and discomfort.
- Monitor patients' progress throughout the course of treatment, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient treatment.
- Stay current with advancements in the field of physical therapy by participating in continuing education programs, workshops, and conferences.
Education & Experience:
- Performs work under limited supervision.
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
- May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
- Requires a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy and a state license as a Physical Therapist.
- May require 2-4 years of experience.
