Description
Plans and administers physical therapy treatment in inpatient, outpatient or community setting for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent or mitigate disability by performing the following duties personally.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains exclusive focus upon patients/residents, the quality of their care, and their individual needs without significant distraction by administrative and non-patient contact activities.
- Provides inpatient or outpatient physical therapy services including screenings, consultations, evaluations and ongoing physical therapy treatments.
- Performs and interprets evaluations of patient physical limitations and activities of daily living abilities.
- Reviews Physician's referral (prescription) and patient's condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.
- Tests and measures patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and records findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
Qualifications:
- Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Arizona Physical Therapist license in good standing.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures.
- Employment at the Caring House requires: AZ Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card.
