Description
The PT shall evaluate and treat patients; develop a treatment plan; and set goals for patients. Caseload will be split between orthopedic and aquatic therapy. The PT will complete all documentation as outlined in the policy and procedures to be in compliance with all insurance and regulatory entities. The therapist may assist with the education of affiliating students, the P.T. staff, and the community at large.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carries out the principles of positive customer relations.
- Participates in departmental and system wide quality activities.
- Evaluates and develops a treatment plan with goals for each patient.
- Trains and educates patient and family as needed.
- Completes patient documentation according to departmental and system policy.
- Maintains communication with physicians and other health care providers regarding patient status and needs as it relates to discharge planning.
- Reads current literature so that P.T. skills are improved and kept current.
Qualifications:
- Current active or current temporary Kentucky Physical Therapy License;
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
