Description
The Physical Therapist is responsible for the development and implementation of motor programming and concepts in the Early Intervention/Part C program. Programming involves working with infants up to age three who demonstrate developmental disabilities and delays to appropriately meet individual and familial needs.
Essential Functions:
- Provides consultation to all Mountain Valley programs in the motor and mobility areas to increase the quality of life for children at Mountain Valley.
- Conducts therapy programming to meet written outcomes, strategies and objectives as outlined in the childs IFSP document.
- Directly responsible for the safety, wellbeing, and supervision of each child during therapy programming.
- Coordinates with other Mountain Valley Case Managers and interdisciplinary team members, and other service providers, if necessary, for effective programming.
- Makes appropriate therapeutic referrals and follow-up with other agencies and therapists through Case Manager.
- Makes requests for ordering therapy supplies and equipment through the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications:
- A Masters degree in Physical Therapy or other area of expertise, accompanied by a Physical Therapy certification.
- Current certification and/or endorsements to perform the functions of the position in compliance with state and other regulatory requirements.
