Description
Responsibilities:
- Develops treatment plans, sets goals, re-assesses and adjusts as necessary.
- Adapts conventional physical therapy techniques to meet the needs of patients.
- Writes discharge summaries.
- Maintains accurate documentation.
- Communicates orally and in writing with physicians, nurses and other personnel and agencies concerned with patient care.
- Conducts or participates in training medical and nursing personnel in physical therapy techniques and objectives.
- Supervises PTA’S, students, and technicians performing patient care activities.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required, Master's Degree preferred.
- Must be certified as a Physical Therapist in the State of Texas.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Experience treating Pelvic Floor Dysfunction is a plus.
