Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- New York State Physical Therapist license in good standing or eligible to obtain licensure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care with a genuine desire to help individuals achieve their rehabilitation goals.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' medical history and perform a thorough physical assessment to develop a personalized treatment plan.
- Develop and implement effective and evidence-based physical therapy interventions to address patients individual needs and goals.
- Provide hands-on manual therapy, exercises, and other therapeutic modalities in improve patients functional abilities and promote recovery.
- Collaborate with other providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercise and preventative measures.
- Document patient progress, treatment plans and outcomes accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory and organizational guidelines.
- Stay current with advancements in physical therapy techniques, research and trends to enhance clinical practice
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting patients rights and dignity.
