Physical Therapist

Duties: 

• Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy to restore patient function, alleviate pain, and prevent disability.
• Provide quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results.
• Determine physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
• Help patient accomplish treatment plan by administering manual exercises, giving massages, and using equipment as necessary.
• Evaluate and record patient’s progress, modify treatment plans, and initiate new treatments if required.
• Evaluate the use and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing, noting, and observing patient’s progress; Recommend adjustments and modifications as needed.
• Document patient care services by charting in-patient and department records.
• Instruct patients on proper in-home exercises and therapies.

Education and Training:

• Licensed as a physical therapist in the state of Ohio.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of one year of physical therapy experience in outpatient preferred.
• Three professional references required.
