Description
Duties:
- Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy to restore patient function, alleviate pain, and prevent disability.
- Provide quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results.
- Determine physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
- Help patient accomplish treatment plan by administering manual exercises, giving massages, and using equipment as necessary.
- Evaluate and record patient’s progress, modify treatment plans, and initiate new treatments if required.
- Evaluate the use and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing, noting, and observing patient’s progress; Recommend adjustments and modifications as needed.
- Document patient care services by charting in-patient and department records.
- Instruct patients on proper in-home exercises and therapies.
Education and Training:
- Licensed as a physical therapist in the state of Ohio.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of one year of physical therapy experience in outpatient preferred.
- Three professional references required.
