Description
A Physical Therapy Aide supports physical therapists and physical therapy assistants in delivering patient care. They ensure the therapy environment is clean, organized, and prepared for treatments while assisting patients during therapy sessions and handling administrative tasks.
Education, Knowledge and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED – Required
- CPR and first aid certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain a safe environment for patients.
- Previous experience in a physical therapy or healthcare setting is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, providing and/or assisting patient into physical therapy apparel or apertures.
- Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains physical therapy supplies inventory by checking stock to determining inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
