Physical Therapist Aide

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact with patients.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist the Therapists as directed with treatment procedures in accordance with clinic policies and as permitted by state practice act.
• Set up, prepare and administer modalities for patient treatment as outlined by the therapist, and according to clinic standard of treatment.
• Correctly and courteously position patient as directed by the therapist for treatment procedures.
• Verbally report significant information or changes in a patient’s condition to the appropriate therapist immediately.
• Stock linen and prepare treatment areas daily; treatment areas to be maintained throughout each working day.
• Clean treatment tables, mats, exercise equipment according to clinic procedures.
• Maintain water level daily in hydrocollator and clean hydrocollator according to infection control policies and procedures.
• Remove and launder soiled linens in accordance with clinic procedures.
• Perform reception duties as needed, answer the telephone politely, assist caller or direct calls to the requested person.
• Greet all patients in a courteous manner, notify therapist of their arrival and initiate treatment procedures upon the advice of the therapist.
