Physical Therapist/Certified Athletic Trainer

NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the healthcare of players including, but not limited to: first aid/emergency care, on-pitch evaluation and triage, development of individualized injury risk mitigation strategies, ongoing evaluation and treatment, and short and long term rehabilitation.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of emergency action plans (EAPs) including education and training of medical and relevant team staff, regular review, and compliance with all League-mandated NWSL policies.
• Lead match-day emergency medical management and ensure compliance with environmental/weather policies, including monitoring for lightening and heat indices.
• Ensure compliance with all local and national government healthcare policies including standards related to bloodborne pathogens.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of player health information, injury occurrence, physician evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention, player participation, and treatment and rehabilitation interventions, in the League-provided electronic medical record (EMR) system, Kitman Labs.

Qualifications:

• Post-graduate degrees in Athletic Training and Physical Therapy.
• NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
• Eligible to be licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Must be certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) and in good standing with the BOC.
• Must hold a current CPR certification in Basic Life Support.
• Must maintain standard liability insurance.
