Description
Responsibilities:
- With clinician input, assigns patient caseload and other responsibilities to staff.
- Supervises rehab staff and ensures effective rehab staff orientation, training and ongoing competency.
- Coordinates rehab admissions and distribution of caseload including productivity management.
- Ensures rehab department is providing skilled, clinically appropriate and evidence-based care.
- Develop quality standards for program outcomes, performance improvement, customer satisfaction data, documentation, educational needs, and clinical standards.
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in our residents.
- Assists in the case management/tracking of Medicare A rehab cases under the PDPM system.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.
- Strong knowledge of early intervention practices and building caseloads.
- Experience working in long term care.
- Knowledge of the Medicare PPS System preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on improving quality of life.
