Physical Therapist – Director of Rehab

Responsibilities:

• With clinician input, assigns patient caseload and other responsibilities to staff.
• Supervises rehab staff and ensures effective rehab staff orientation, training and ongoing competency.
• Coordinates rehab admissions and distribution of caseload including productivity management.
• Ensures rehab department is providing skilled, clinically appropriate and evidence-based care.
• Develop quality standards for program outcomes, performance improvement, customer satisfaction data, documentation, educational needs, and clinical standards.
• Assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in our residents.
• Assists in the case management/tracking of Medicare A rehab cases under the PDPM system.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Strong knowledge of early intervention practices and building caseloads.
• Experience working in long term care.
• Knowledge of the Medicare PPS System preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on improving quality of life.
