The primary duties of the Physical Therapist are to test and measure the function of the musculoskeletal, neurological, pulmonary, and cardiovascular systems of patients. As prescribed by a referring physician, the physical therapist treats and directs treatment of patients based on a established plan of care. The therapist notes the diagnosis and takes all precautions of observing indications and contradictions.
Graduation from an AMA-APTA approved school of Physical Therapy required. Master's degree required. Membership in or eligibility for membership in American Physical Therapy Association. Licensed by the State of Michigan required. BLS required. Previous experience working with adult outpatient population and with a variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions.
