Here’s What You Need:
- Bachelor's Degree Completion of a Physical Therapy program Required.
- PT - Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required.
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.
- No experience necessary - wiling to train (Prefer acute care level rotation experience).
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Problem- solving ability; Ability to teach others.
- Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.
What You Will Do:
- Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.
- Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.
- Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.
- Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and departmental personnel
- Focus on Daily Living Skills, Mobility and Cognition of patients.
