Description
The Head Coach of the AOA Prep Soccer Program is the leading figure in guiding, developing, and advancing all facets of the prep soccer program. This role encompasses the recruitment of talent, coaching and development of players, team management, strategic planning, and the execution of soccer-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft and execute a comprehensive prep soccer program that includes training sessions, matches, conditioning, team-building exercises, and off-season camps.
- Recruit student-athletes in alignment with AOA's mission and values.
- Recruit student-athletes in alignment with the established revenue targets.
- Recruit student-athletes in conjunction with Admissions.
- Create and apply development plans focusing on skill enhancement, academic achievement, and character growth.
- Manage team operations, including but not limited to scheduling, travel logistics, and maintaining open communication with players' families.
- Promote a team culture rooted in positivity, inclusivity, respect, teamwork, and fair play.
- Engage with school officials and local community members to secure support and resources necessary for the program’s success.
- Organize and oversee soccer camps that aid in skill development and strengthen the bond among players, coaches, and the AOA community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in coaching or managing soccer programs at the high school or collegiate level.
- Proven leadership and effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in motivating staff and athletes.
- In-depth understanding of soccer coaching techniques, player development strategies, and team management practices.
- Familiarity with regulations and policies governing athletics.
- Capable of organizing impactful soccer camps.
