Senior Associate Athletic Director/Student Athlete Experience

South Dakota State University (SDSU) is an NCAA Division I institution located in Brookings, South Dakota. SDSU competes in The Summit League for all sports except Football (Missouri Valley Football Conference), Wrestling (Big XII Conference), and Equestrian (National Collegiate Equestrian Association).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree;
• Minimum five years of experience in athletic administration;
• Proven track record in academics, student-athlete experience, and/or compliance in a higher education setting;
• Experience leading vision setting, program implementation and assessment;
• Demonstrated understanding and consideration of the differing needs and concerns of individuals with varying identities, cultures, and backgrounds;
• Demonstrated flexibility, efficiency and creativity;
• Ability to lead, mentor and supervise.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in Sports Management, Athletic Administration or related field;
• Intercollegiate athletic experience;
• Experience with Name, Image and Likeness, mental health and/or career development.
