Description
Essential Functions:
- Serve as women’s head softball coach including recruiting, game scheduling, management of budgets, and promotion of program.
- Monitor women’s softball student-athlete progress including class attendance, academic performance, personal adjustment and financial aid management.
- Coordinate and monitor student study, athletic tutoring and classroom performance for retention and graduation of student athletes.
- Advise members of softball team with registration, class selection and programs of study.
- Organize and direct group and individual practice sessions.
- Participate in athletic fundraising and community service events.
- Collect and input accurate stats for TCCAA and NJCAA.
- Adhere to all Columbia State, TCCAA and NJCAA rules and policies.
- Implement youth summer camps.
Education, Training and Experience:
- Master's degree.
- Two years of softball coaching at the community college level.
- One year of high school or college-level student services experience.
