Description
The Alliance Performance Center NOCO Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for female athletes of all ages (5-college age). This person will work closely with the Alliance Performance Center Strength and Conditioning Coordinator to ensure all programs are designed and executed according to standard.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement in-season, off-season, and pre-season strength and conditioning programs specifically tailored to the needs of softball athletes, considering their age, skill level, and individual goals.
- Program design includes 1:1 individual sports performance plans, small group training, and team training.
- Lead and instruct athletes in various strength training exercises, plyometrics, agility drills, and conditioning activities, ensuring proper form and technique for safety and effectiveness.
- Monitor and assess athletes' progress through regular evaluations, making adjustments to the program as needed.
- Collaborate with the head coaches and APC Instructors to ensure training programs are aligned with overall team goals and injury prevention strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Current nationally recognized Personal Training certification is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with athletes in a coaching or training capacity.
- Strong understanding of the biomechanics of human movement and proper exercise technique.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with athletes of all ages and skill levels.
- Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety.
