Special Education Physical Therapist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directs or consultative services to identify handicapped students.
• Problem solves to meet the student’s ever-changing needs.
• Liaison with school personnel, family, physician and agencies through written and/or oral communication.
• Equipment ordering and adaptation.
• Attend and participate in student team meetings, etc.
• Evaluation, assessment and screening of students.
• Planning to meet individual student’s and program needs.
• Establishes and maintains appropriate records, reports and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate from an approved school of Physical Therapy.
• License from the State to practice. P.T.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
