Description
Responsibilities:
-
Performs examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, intervention, and outcome in accordance with standards set by profession’s national association, scope of practice and hospital policies and guidelines.

Provides age-appropriate and family-centered care in accordance with current evidence and practice standards, provider’s prescription and protocols and regulatory standards.

Completes documentation per departmental and hospital policy.
-
Demonstrates skills sufficient for effective verbal and written communication with providers, patients of all ages and their families, hospital staff members, and other professionals.

Supervises therapy aides, students and volunteers in order to maintain patient safety and regulatory standards.

Participates in formal or informal education of new employees, students, volunteers, and members of same and other disciplines.

Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team to enhance outcomes for patient care through individual patient care coordination as well as education and research activities.
Skills/Abilities:
-
Current licensure to practice in the state of Texas in applicable profession.
-
Successful completion of training in accredited program in applicable profession.
-
Certified in BLS.
-
Eligible for membership in national association for applicable profession (e.g. APTA, AOTA).
-
Recent graduate to 2 years of experience.
