Description
The SCC will act as part of a multi-discipline team that will provide program analytical support and qualified/certified Strength and Conditioning training collaborating with the Cognitive Performance Specialists (CPS) and Athletic Trainers (AT) to function as integrated members of a Brigade (BDE)-based multi-disciplinary team focused on optimizing Soldier readiness and performance within the Army’s new Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System.
Job Duties:
- Developing lines of communication within the BDE and Battalion (BN) leadership.
- Developing and recommending evidence-based, periodise strength and conditioning programs focused on unit missions and individual Solider tasks.
- Submit recommended strength and conditioning programs to the BDE leadership for approval.
- Track Soldier/unit progression and provide data to the BDE PD as required.
- Coordinate and assist the BDE leadership and/or the BDE Athletic Trainers (AT) to develop, coordinate, and execute approved training programs for Soldiers with physical limitations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education related discipline and (3) three years of relevant experience.
- -Military experience preferred.
1 year of related experience in developing and implementing human performance training in a military or collegiate/professional sports environment.
