Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the Stone Fitness Center during assigned after school hours (generally Mon-Fri on school days 3:30-6:30pm).
- Schedule and oversee a calendar of when Athletic teams can work out.
- Communicate and enforce all facility rules as posted.
- Maintain, check, and clean/wipe down all equipment as needed. If equipment needs repair or general maintenance, communicate those needs to the Athletic Office immediately.
- Set up and instruct students and coaches in sport-specific, safe, and developmentally appropriate workouts.
- Perform and demonstrate proper techniques as needed.
- Lead faculty/staff orientations as needed.
- Return equipment to the proper location as necessary.
- Multi-task, maintain confidentiality and respond in a timely and professional manner to supervision, directives, instructions, and unexpected circumstances.
QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum requirements include certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED. NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) certification is also required.
- Knowledge of youth resistance training and industry standards is essential.
- Experience preferably in a fast-paced athletic department and/or educational setting – especially in a fitness/weight room setting.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
- The person must be willing and capable of learning to utilize various other computer software related to his/her job responsibilities.
