Description
The Head Strength and Conditioning Coach is critical part of the LI Nets; Performance Team and form part of the wider Brooklyn Nets Performance Department. He/she/they shall be subject to the direction and supervision of the Long Island Nets' General Manager or such other person(s) as may be designated by the Club with respect to the duties and responsibilities described and such additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned to the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of all player's physical strength and conditioning capabilities, through both team and individual programs.
- Strength and conditioning session scheduling / periodization.
- Setting and evaluation of player's individual physical K.P.I.'s.
- Preparation of players for training and games with on-court warm ups at the coaches' discretion.
- Recording of all player's strength and conditioning programs in the team's database.
- Assist in the implementation of a data driven and evidence based Sport Science / Strength and Conditioning program,
- Work across protocols for Return to Training, Return to Participation and Return to Performance.
- Develop and review team protocols focused on travel and sleep strategies – including specific details on responsibilities for implementation.
- Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the training areas and equipment at facilities and when travelling.
- Assist in the implementation of player nutrition strategies and hydration on game day.
