Description
The Strength and Conditioning Head Coach must assume a major role in the design and implementation of strength training, conditioning, and flexibility programs in consultation with the head coach of each sport, fostering cooperation and positive teamwork, exhibiting outstanding sportsmanship, and most importantly, assume a major role in the development of our youth as future leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the entire strength and conditioning program, and will oversee all aspects of the program, including, but not limited to, the safety and inventory of athletic equipment.
- Communicate with the Athletic Director concerning any incidents that come up in regards to student-athletes, coaches, or parental concerns.
- Supervise the development and implementation of strength, conditioning, and flexibility programs that meet the specific needs of each student-athlete and sport by designing both team and individual student-athlete programs.
- Work with an athletic trainer to ensure that the strength, conditioning, and flexibility programs are fully aligned with rehabilitation programs for injured student-athletes.
- Provide instruction and daily supervision of the technical aspects of lifting/training during scheduled workouts.
- Supervise all strength and conditioning facility operations, including daily inspection of equipment and necessary maintenance to ensure safe operations.
