Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for serving as a strength and conditioning coach the University of Illinois Springfield and Springfield Clinic Sports Medicine. Responsible for the development and implementation of sport specific training and conditioning programs. Expected to provide specific guidance in the areas of strength training, agility, cardiovascular conditioning, and injury management.
Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science or Athletic Training preferred.
Prior experience in strength and conditioning with intercollegiate athletic program.
Preferred to be certified through the National Athletic Trainers Board of Certification (NATABOC).
Must possess current certification as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Current CPR certification per AHA guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time, have good mobility skills and be able to walk long distances.
Physical agility, strength, and endurance in a variety of settings.
The individual must be able to transport medical and/or treatment equipment.
