Vanderbilt University’s Athletics Department prepares student-athletes to become leaders and champions in life by placing the highest values on integrity, character, sportsmanship and victory. Vanderbilt is a charter member of the Southeastern Conference and is the conference's only private school. The university fields 17 varsity teams, 15 of which compete in the Southeastern Conference.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operation of the Men's Basketball Strength & Conditioning program, including the development of all player training programs.
- Perform designated practice responsibilities.
- Coordinate speed training and conditioning drills/workouts.
- Be able to understand, explain and demonstrate all exercises and drills in the program.
- Serve as a liaison from Men's Basketball Strength & Conditioning to assigned support areas.
- Coordinate weight room maintenance as needed.
- Coordinate areas associated with recruiting as needed (i.e. set up/cleaning and organization).
- Give daily updates of any and all pertinent info to the Head Coach.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is necessary.
- Certification by CsCCA is required of this position per NCAA regulations.
- CPR/First Aid certification is required of this position per NCAA regulations.
- Previous Strength & Conditioning experience, collegiately and/or professionally, is necessary.
- Knowledge and understanding of NCAA and SEC compliance rules and regulations is necessary.
