Teaches safe and effective lifting techniques and proper spotting procedures; selects exercises and instructs athletes in strength, flexibility and speed development; supervises aspects of injury rehabilitation; provides nutrition counseling; designs long-term training programs for athletes in all sports; oversees internship/practical experiences in the Department of Kinesiology related to exercise science and theory of strength and conditioning; and collaborates with coaches to develop customized training protocols.
At least four years of strength and conditioning coaching experience and one year of teaching experience required. CSCS or CSCCa certification also required. Student experience will be considered.
Three years of Collegiate NCAA Division I strength and conditioning coaching experience preferred.
