Description
The Sub-Varsity Girls Soccer Coach is responsible for assisting in the development of a competitive and educational girls soccer program for middle and high school athletes. The coach will promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth while reinforcing the educational mission of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate supervision and safety of student-athletes at all times.
- Support the varsity program through collaboration with the head coach on program philosophy and skill alignment.
- Encourage academic achievement, character development, and personal responsibility among athletes.
- Maintain effective communication with students, parents/guardians, school staff, and the athletic department.
- Ensure compliance with MIAA rules and school district policies.
- Organize equipment and uniforms and report inventory needs.
- Attend required coaches’ meetings, training, and school events as applicable.
Qualifications:
- Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor to student-athletes.
- CPR, First Aid, and Concussion Certification (or willingness to complete before the season starts).
- Completion of NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching (preferred or required by state).
