Swim Team Assistant Coach

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Follow all Champaign Park District safety policies and perform all work in a manner that ensures the safety of the public, fellow employees, and themselves.
• Assist the Swim Team Coach in the planning of daily practice session.
• Direct swimmers in practices and meets in accordance with team policies and procedures.
• Assist the Swim Team Coach in preparing meet entries.
• Communicate program needs or problems to the Swim Team Coach.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to effectively communicate with public and staff and work harmoniously with people in an enthusiastic manner.
• Knowledge of competitive strokes and training techniques.
