Tennis Coach

This position is responsible for directing and coaching the college's men's & women's tennis programs within the Department of Athletics. This is a position of trust.

Responsibilities:

• Plans and manages practices.
• Recruits student athletes to fill complete team rosters (detailed enrollment goals provided by the AD).
• Schedules competition.
• Manages competitive events; schedules officials; directs the preparation of facilities.
• Monitors the academic progress of student athletes.
• Teaches student athletes the fundamentals of the sports.
• Fundraising and promotions.
• Budget Management.
• Attends staff meetings.
• Performs related duties.
• Oversee any related camps.
• Provides safe transportation of East Georgia State College students in the approved fleet or rental vehicle.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a associate degree,
• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the varying objectives and functions of the subunits in the division/department in order to direct and coordinate work within the division/department, usually interpreted to require some related college level experience.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
