Track Assistant Coach

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Under the supervision of the Athletic Director and the Head Coach, will work to coordinate the Stevens High School and Claremont Middle School Track program
• Develop and establish a high-quality program founded on sound principles, strong team values, and the ethics of hard work, commitment, loyalty, honesty, respect and sportsmanship all within a fun learning atmosphere
• Help to communicate all information regarding the Stevens High School and Claremont Middle School Track program to the parents, and community

ABILITY TO:

• Work cooperatively with the athletic director and head coach, administration, staff, parents, community and key stakeholders of SHS and CMS Track.
• Motivate and connect with our student athletes.
• Be an integral member of a program that spans grades 6-12.
• Work cooperatively with and support all other coaches in serving the needs and interests of all student/athletes.
• Combine the reinforcement of basic skills with advanced skills needed for a competitive track program.
• Communicate with Athletic Trainer to ensure safety and healthiness of student athletes.
• Utilize Strength & Conditioning Coach for conditioning of student athletes.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• High School Track and the complexities of the game/events.
• Current NFHS and NHIAA rules, policies and procedures.
