Varsity Golf Coach

North Reading Public Schools is seeking a Head Varsity Golf Coach for the 2024-2025 season. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.

Essential Duties:

• Teach rules, skills, and game strategies for the sport.
• Implement and enforce student handbook, MIAA, & Cape Ann League (CAL) rules.
• Assist with transportation if appropriate, including but not limited to driving school supplied van.
• Attend all CAL sport specific meetings and clinics.
• Attend MIAA or regional sport specific meeting/clinic as deemed necessary by the Athletic Director.
• Prepare for and attend end of season awards ceremonies.
• Schedule non-league contests for program as needed.
• Distribute and collect athletic team uniforms at the beginning and end of the competitive season.
• Assist in the hiring, mentoring, and evaluation of assistant coaches in your program as needed.
• Inform Athletic Director of equipment required for the program and work with budgetary implications.
• Formulate a practice schedule that works in conjunction with the teams which are also in season that share facilities. This schedule should be communicated and confirmed with the Athletic Director.

Requirements:

• Coaching and playing experience.
• Appropriate certification and/or license.
• MIAA Coach's Certification preferred.
