Varsity Head Basketball Coach

Qualifications:

• Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification (preferred) or classified dependent upon qualifications of the person holding the position.
• Previous Experience in sports as a participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required.
• Completion of all requirements set forth by the AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program.
• Must have or be willing to obtain CDL.

Essential Duties:

• Plan, organize, and direct the Basketball program.
• Instruct athletes in fundamentals, develop character, model expected behavior.
• Ensures that all coaches in the basketball program are certified and cleared.
• Ensures that student-athletes practicing or playing have been cleared through the Athletic Director.
• Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinic for his/her sports.
• Board approved stipend: $2,200.00.
