Varsity – Head Football Coach

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and instruction to participants to develop the skills necessary for achievement in the specific sport.
• Build relationships with AHSTW students to encourage participation.
• Organize, develop, and implement expectations, routines, schedules, including game preparation designed to promote success.
• Manage the safety conditions of the facilities in which the sport is conducted at all times that students are present.
• Create and model expectations of sportsmanship at all times, as well as overseeing consequences if such standards are not met by individual students.
• Establish and maintain competency in rules, rule interpretations; meet procedures, coaching techniques and general information about all aspects of the sport.
• Establish performance criteria for participation in interscholastic competition in the specific sport and is consistent in establishing criteria for participation for competition.
• Select and supervise assigned coaching staff in cooperation with administration.
