Varsity Head Tennis Coach

Xaverian is a member of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletics Association and the Catholic Conference. The Head Tennis Coach is responsible for leading all aspects of our Tennis program. The Head Coach will work closely with our assistant coaches, student-athletes, school personnel, and various support staff to ensure that our program fully serves the needs of our student-athletes, both in the classroom and on the court. The Head Coach is also a visible member of Xaverian and must represent the best interest of our school community at all times.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of and appreciation for Xaverian, and support for our Catholic identity and mission as a Xaverian Brother Sponsored School.
• Knowledge of educational athletics, particularly at the high school level.
• Appreciation for the appropriate place of athletics, especially in the overall development of adolescent, student-athletes.
• Previous Tennis coaching experience at the high school (or higher) level.
• In-depth knowledge of all components associated with a high school Tennis program, including the college recruitment process.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with various constituent groups, including student-athletes, colleagues, parents, and community members.
• A proven communicator, with skills in oral, written and electronic communications.
