Description
Responsibilities:
-
Lead, inspire, coordinate, and supervise a competitive athletic department currently consisting of 1,500+ student-athletes, nine sport programs and over 200 dedicated staff members.

Set the vision and strategic direction of the Athletics Department by developing and executing a long-term strategic plan for Athletics that is fully aligned with and will further broader organizational objectives.

Responsible for the Athletics experience of student-athletes and camp participants, including but not limited to program planning, delivery, and overall experience.

As member of IMG Academy Executive Team, advise senior leaders on issues and strategic opportunities relating to our Athletics Program.

Facilitates productive relationships and compliance with the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and applicable organizations in which our programs and student-athletes compete.

Proactively monitor and plan for current and proposed legislation potential impact and strategic opportunities at IMG Academy
-
Ensure practices are in place within Athletics that lead to student success in key areas such as student-athlete recruitment and onboarding, customer retention, utilization of financial aid, path to college success, student conduct and well-being, and parent and alumni relations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
10+ years of post-education experience in a related field.

5+ years of experience in athletic administration.

Ability to bring business orientation and operational excellence while maintaining a dynamic work environment.

Understands the mechanics of sports delivery.

A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept and a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
-
Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects.

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with a variety of audiences.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced organization.
-
Possesses excellent financial and business acumen.

A superior work ethic.
