Volleyball Head Coach

This position is classified as a 12-month full-time at-will employment appointment with coaching (teaching) responsibilities. The Volleyball Head Coach is primarily responsible for coaching and student-athlete instruction of all participants in the volleyball program. In addition, the Volleyball Head coach will have responsibilities for other related duties and reports directly to the Director of Athletics.

Duties:

• Exhibit a high level of expertise in regards to teaching, instructing and coaching volleyball;
• Responsible for recruiting, developing, coaching, and promoting the volleyball program;
• Responsible for making grant-in-aid recommendations to the Director of Athletics;
• Responsible for non-conference game scheduling, securing team travel arrangements, requisitioning equipment, and supervising all assistant coaches;
• In coordination with the Director of Athletics, responsible for identifying and hiring qualified assistant coaches;
• Monitors academic progress of volleyball student-athletes, completes and submits required NCAA documents, and attends to conference duties and responsibilities;
• Fulfilling such other related duties that might arise or be assigned by Director of Athletics;
• In addition, must be thoroughly familiar with and comply with all University, NCAA and Conference policies.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching, instructing and coaching the sport of volleyball, preferably at the college level.
• Past Head Coaching experience is highly preferred.
