Women’s Cross Country Head Coach

Plan, organize and direct a program to recruit student-athletes to participate in Cross Country. Perform on field coaching and instruction. Other duties include scouting, maintaining statistics and performing tasks required to insure a competitive intercollegiate Cross Country Program.

Duties:

• Recruit student-athletes.
• Provide instruction and teaching.
• Maintain team and individual statistics.
• Assist with the maintenance of the equipment.
• Provide a safe program to train runners according to their ability and skill level.
• Emphasize proper running techniques and discuss the psychology of the sport.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• The candidate must have a Baccalaureate Degree.
• Prior experience as a college or high school runner and/or coach.
• Possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License and good driving record.
• All coaches must be certified in CPR/AED and their certification must be on file in the Athletic Department.
