Skagit Valley College (SVC) invites applications for the position of Head Women’s Golf Coach. This position plays a key role in supporting the health, well-being, and development of intercollegiate athletes at SVC. The Head Coach contributes to student-athlete retention and the overall success of SVC’s athletic programs. This role fosters a thriving, inclusive, and supportive environment for student-athletes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach golf techniques and skills appropriate for collegiate competition;
- Provide leadership to the women’s golf program in accordance with NWAC and college rules and regulations;
- Establish a comprehensive recruiting plan;
- Serve as a role model by fostering sportsmanship and professionalism among athletes representing SVC;
- Adhere to Title IX policies and implement NWAC policies as outlined in the official NWAC Codebook.
- Develop a recruiting plan for student-athletes;
- Promote SVC athletic programs within the college district and local community;
- Collaborate with the athletic staff to build partnerships between the women’s golf program and local/campus communities;
- Represent the college at NWAC meetings and events;
- Encourage academic achievement and community involvement among athletes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree;
- 1–3 years of coaching experience;
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of intercollegiate athletics;
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the role.
