Wrestling Coach

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate and plan with other wrestling coaches at Deer Path.
• Organize and facilitate practices and matches.
• Communicate with parents, participants and fellow coaches.
• Plan and execute skills and training programs specific for the level of athlete.
• Prepare student-athletes for competition.
• Help oversee the daily maintenance of equipment and cleaning of wrestling facilities.
• Have appropriate ethical behavior and instill those behaviors in our athletes.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with student-athletes and wrestling - preferred.
• Ability to work cooperatively with administrators, coaches, parents, and student-athletes.
• Illinois Teaching Certificate registered in Lake County, ASEP certificate (American Sport Education Program) - preferred.
• IESA Concussion Certified.
