Youth Coach – Sports Camps

Under supervision of the Recreation Programs Coordinator – Youth Sports or their assignee, assists in leading activities and monitoring facilities of assigned programs, including summer day camps and youth sports.

Responsibilities:

• Manages daily activities at program locations.
• Communicates any site concerns to supervisor.
• Participate in all scheduled staff training sessions, orientations, and meetings throughout the summer.
• Under the direction of the coordinator, assists with the facilitation of activities for children of all ages.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with youth of varying ages.
• Follows established policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Develops positive relationships with staff, participants, and parents.
• Follows established procedures in emergency situations. 

Qualifications:

• Minimum age: 15 years.
• Previous experience working with children in a recreation or camp setting, prior playing, officiating, or coaching experience.
• Knowledge of recreation and sports activities.
