Youth Sports Director

Play For A Stray Directors are the head individual in charge of running a variety of successful sports programs in the Play For A Stray Family (Skyhawks Contra Costa, Super Tots Contra Costa, Pack Sports, Pack Football Club, Sideline Fitness, Pack Performance,

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a College Degree (BS or BA).
• Must be able to pass a national background check, TB Test, Covid Vaccination and receive First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Must have regular access to a computer.
• Must have driver’s license and reliable transportation (own car).
• Most importantly, applicants must be able to relate well to kids (ages 3-14), share their knowledge and passion for sports, and bring a high-energy “can do” attitude to camp EVERYDAY!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Focus on developing Skills, Passion, and Confidence.
• Providing a safe environment where kids of any ability can develop at their own pace.
• Using modified equipment and specialized curriculum to optimize youth athlete development.
• Manage interactive team games that encourage friendly competition and teach sportsmanship and teamwork in a positive environment.
• Create a structured environment with lots of encouragement and a big focus on fun.
