Job Overview
The Assistant Athletic Performance Coach, under the guidance of the Director of Athletic Performance-Football and the Director of Athletic Performance-Development, will assist in all aspects of the year-round training of the Football student-athletes. They will support and effectively communicate the Athletic Performance department’s philosophy and vision to the student-athletes and coaching staff. Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the year-round training of the Football student-athletes using specific training programs that develop strength, speed, agility, flexibility and the sport specific energy systems of the student-athletes.
  • Assist in the oversight of athletic performance education, instruction, development, training and evaluation of the football student-athletes.
  • Maintain current knowledge in all related fields of athletic performance.
  • Maintain proficiency in the teaching of free weight techniques, Olympic lifts, jump training and speed development exercises.
  • Work and communicate with all athletic department staff.
  • Maintain and update computer programs and related records for Football.
  • Maintain, collect and interpret performance data collected through the Catapult GPS system.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Sport Science or related field.
  • 1 year of experience training student-athletes at the collegiate level.
  • CSCCa (SCCC) or NASA (CSCS) certification.
  • CPR certification.
  • First Aid.
