RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of and adhere to applicable NCAA, Conference, University, and departmental rules and regulations. Upon notification of any NCAA violation, report the violation to the Associate Athletic Director/Compliance or Director of Athletics and follow applicable procedures for reporting and investigating a violation with the NCAA.
- Assist in the design and implementation of total conditioning for certain sports programs for student-athletes during pre-season, in-season and off-season periods. Develop testing programs to determine the effectiveness of conditioning regimes.
- Responsible for communication with coaching staff members concerning development of weight training programs.
- Responsible for oversight of proper supervision of student-athletes in the strength and conditioning room, including instruction on machines and free weights. Provide instruction to student-athletes regarding safety procedures.
- Establish time schedule for the use of the strength and conditioning facilities.
- Coordinate and assist the athletic training staff in rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
- Assist in the overall environment of the strength and conditioning facility. Assist in coordinating the purchase, installation and maintenance of strength developing equipment. Ensure proper cleaning and repair of equipment.
- Two to four years of related experience is preferred.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point is preferred.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to make independent decisions and judgments on administrative and procedural issues.
- Ability to analyze facts to determine actions to be taken within the limits of standard practice.
